THE SWARM - FRANCE

A couple more pieces from my artwork for the German TV series 'Der Schwarm' (The Swarm) based on Frank Schätzing's bestseller from 2004. This story is set in countries all over the world so we had to come up with an idea to make the viewer understand instantly where the scene is set. Simplified colorschemes, visible language, material contrasts and stylized color of light was supposed to give the viewer enough hints, so he wouldn't get lost. France for example had a lot of blues and reds, many warm lights, always wood and metal close to each other etc. Since 'The Swarm' is kind of about Water, we tried to have some kind of water in every shot.
