MATRIX 4 - LAFAYETTE

This is my artwork for Matrix 4: Resurrections. These concepts were supposed to encapsulate the vibe from the old films. Being a Matrix hardcore fan from the get go I got shivers from time to time, while realising that I'm working on a franchise which inspired me to become a concept artist in the first place. Back then it was clear to me, that I wanted to create action scenes, either as a stuntman choreographer or as a storyboard artist. I gave up my parcour career and fully went concept artist because it seemed less dangerous. Funnily enough one of my best parcour buddies (Joshua Grothe) had a similar decision to make but went full-stuntman. You can imagine the look on my face when he came to my Matrix office realising we both work on the matrix, the movie which inspired us from the beginning.
