THE SWARM - LOCATIONS

A couple more pieces from my artwork for the German TV series 'Der Schwarm' (The Swarm) based on Frank Schätzing's bestseller from 2004. Most of the scenes were shot in italy, but they the story is set in Canada, Germany, Scottland, United States and Japan. For me this was a very welcome challenge: always trying to give the viewer subtle hints about each location without using too many cliches. I learned a lot about the different architectual proportions used in each respective country and we came up with an atmospheric design to tie everything together.
