THE SWARM - HOV

Again, a couple more pieces from my artwork for the German TV series 'Der Schwarm' (The Swarm) based on Frank Schätzing's bestseller from 2004. The HOV (Huma Operated Vehicle) was a difficult one. It was a lot of back and forth; the story demanded many different functions which are not quite realistic (i. e. releasing a human in great depth). Therefore we had to come up with a believable design, which would not prompt too many questions.Because this had to be actually build this was quite a team effort between art directors, 3D artists and me. I'm very happy with the outcome, even though it does heavily resemble an actual under water craft.
